Kyrgyzstan Traveling started in 2017 with a simple idea: travelers should see the country the way locals know it. Not from a bus window, but on horseback at Song-Kul, on foot over the passes above Karakol, and at the table in a herder's yurt.
We plan and run every trip ourselves. Our team arranges the guides, drivers, horses, camps and meals, so there is one team responsible for your trip from the first message to the last day.
Many of our guests travel alone or as a couple. That's why we built open group departures: anyone can propose dates, others can join, and everyone pays less as the group grows.
Solo travelers and small parties share a departure and split the cost. There's no payment on the website.
Pick an open departure on any tour, or propose your own start date if none of them fit.
Click the link we send you. Proposed dates go live right away, with only your first name shown.
Other travelers join. The price per person drops as the group fills, and the trip is guaranteed once it reaches the minimum size.
A manager contacts you by email or WhatsApp to confirm the trip, answer questions and arrange payment.

Our guides are from Kyrgyzstan. They speak with the herders and hosts in their own language and know the routes in every season.
We plan routes around the group's pace and the weather, and we change the plan when the mountains ask us to.
We stay with local families, buy from local producers and leave camps the way we found them.

I grew up in a shepherd family near Kochkor and started guiding friends of friends in 2017. Today we are a team of guides, drivers and planners, but I still lead the first trek of every season.
